You should let it sit at room temp for a half an hour, put a little butter or oil on the grill pan, heat that till it is smokin hot, sear both sides of steak after sprinking with salt and pepper. transfer the pan to a 400 degree oven till its done to your liking. let the meat sit for ten minutes after its done, so the juices redistribure throughout the meat.

Take a basting brush and spread extra virgin olive oil on both sides of the steaks. This will impart a great flavor on the meat and serve as a anti-cticking agent. If it's good quality sirloin, then all you need to add is some sea salt and fesh ground pepper on both sides of the steak. If you are looking for additional flavor then you can put the sirloins in a ziploc baggie with your favorite BBQ sauce for about 30 minutes prior to grilling. And never cook a steak past medium. Once you get into the medium well and well done stages you lose flavor.

RE:
What's the best way to cook a petite sirloin steak so it's not tough?
I got some nice looking steaks today at the market for a good price, but I know that this isn't the best quality steak. So, I am curious to know how to treat it gently! Help! I am not grilling outdoors at this time of year but all other cooking techniques are available to me (including an...

Many recipies recommend allowing the mean to stand at room temperature for 20-30 minutes before cooking, and allowing it to stand for 5 minutes after cooking to let the juices settle back into the meat. If you're going to season with salt, do this just before cooking so as not to draw the moisture out of the meat.
If you should change your mind about grilling, there's a cookout calculator at charcoalbob.com that takes the outside temperature into account when determining how to grill steaks such as sirloin. Just be sure to grill with the lid closed (and all vents open if you have a charcoal grill).
For cuts of beef like sirolin, it can also help to slice them nice and thin when eating to reduce the toughness.

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://biturl.im/aU0yl
The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

Sirloin is always tough. You can make it tender by browning in a pot (both sides) then adding your favorite tomato sauce and the same amount water and simmering the meat for two or more hours. Then serve over linguine. The meat will be so tender it will fall apart. An even better (and cheaper) meat to use for this is chuck steak.

Broil them quickly no more than 5" from the heating element or flame. If they are thin, 2 mins on each side should be long enough.
You can use meat marinade to tenderize them if you think they are tough. A-1 makes good marinades.

Your best bet would be to marinate it in your choice of flavor. Cook it on a stove top pan low-almost med heat, heat up some extra marinade sauce. When it starts to bubble a bit, let the steaks cook. Cover them while they are cooking. They will come out soft and juicy.
