I am about to break-up with my boyfriend and wanted to know if i should tell him in person, over teh phone, in a note, or have a friend do it for me?

i am 14 normally i tell them to there face but i wanted to know what the best way was.

Do it in person. There's nothing worse to a boy than when a girl does it over the phone or in a letter. The WORST possible idea is to have a friend do it. If you do either of your last three ideas he'll be left clueless without an explanation. If you talk to him about it, he will understand more and be more willing to let you go. Sometimes under other circumstances he will try to not let you go until you tell him what is wrong. Please do it in person. Good luck!

I and most people will tell you that the best, most mature, most respectful way to break up is in person. Next best thing is phone, then note, then a friend... and those are ranked as abysmally worse than the one before it.

I think the mature thing would be to tell him to his face. But judging from your question, you are probably either in jr high or high school, so just do it with a note. He probably could care less anyway, no one does at that age.
