The guy in the cubicle across from me is going on vacation for a couple weeks and I think it would be appropriate to make is work space a little "prettier". What are some good ideas?

If by prettier you mean girly then you should go to the craft store and buy some cheap remnants of fabric and cover his chair and make sure you make it sparkly.. Bejewel some paper or cardboard and cover his monitor (paper or cardboard so he doesnt damage company property) Add some twinkle lights to give it a romantic girly feeling.. mirrors too.. Some flowers and potpourri.. a picture of a kitten in a girly frame and write "princess" or "baby" in pretty writing..

Put post it notes all over everything
put aluminum foil on his desk comuter, etc.
fill his cubicle with styrofoam
take all of the things on his desk and tape them into a ball
tape his chair to his desk
if you can hang something of his from the ceiling make sure to do that.
change the letters around on his keyboard

Remove all items from a drawer. Line with a plastic garbage bag. Fill with water. Add 2 goldfish. Close drawer. Cost, under 10 dollars.

Colored Post It notes EVERYWHERE. Or you could Saran Wrap/aluminum foil everything...OR you could put packing tape across the opening to close it off, then fill it with packing peanuts!!! That's a good one...

You could put post-its all over his office. Or you could wrap everything in aluminum foil, or newspaper.

It would be time consuming.....but I would cover absolutely everything in foil! I've seen pictures before, its hilarious.
