When my daughter was 5 years old (Shes going to be 12 in March) She said that she had seen her Great-Grandma on her fathers side. She never meet her, because she died around 1987 and my daughter was born in 1995. my daughter described her a a black woman in her window, she was wearing white and smiling at her. Now many years later, she still sticks to the story. My Husband thinks that there is a connection between the to of them because they both have the same initials. But now, she is confused about if it was, indeed her great-grandma.
Please help.

God , the people posting back to you are creeps!
Please reassure your daughter that she did indeed see her grandmother. She need not have met her before in order to have seen her.
When children are young, they have not lost their ability to "see beyond the veil". My daughter told me about her "other lives before this one" and tells me when my grandmother is around. She has done this since she could talk and is 6 yrs. old now.
Our loved ones that pass come to visit us from time to time, and especially visit children because the departed know that the children can still "see" them. The departed visit us when there are birthdays, weddings, etc., and just to check in from time to time.
I can't say whether your daughter has a "special connection" because of initials in common or that she is clairvoyant. Like I said, most children are still connected to the "other side" and to God, and communicate with their "friends" most regularly. They also begin to "forget" at around age 7 or 8. This might be why she is unsure of what she saw now.
(for your daughter)...Dear One, do not feel sad or distressed by what you saw. It is totally normal and it happens to lots of people. Your relatives in Heaven know you and knew you before you were ever even born. They watch you and your family from time to time because they love you and want you to know that. You will always have them to talk to if you wish. (I'm 35 and I still talk to my granny who passed on in 1982-silly-huh?) I hope this helps you , sweetheart. Many many blessings to you in your life!
Mom-I hope this helped. You may e-mail me if you have any more questions. Have a nice day!

I'm not a psychic, but I can tell you that my great-grandmother is around me as a guide. I never met her, either, but I've always had a feeling of her presence. So I have no doubt your daughter's great-grandmother could be around, watching over her.

One second, it takes a bit to tune into the spiritual world.. Okay, your Grandmother was very gentle, and cared deeply for you. She has been hanging around your family because she has not accepted that she has passed on.
You need to get Garlic and Melatonin. Dice the Garlic and mix it with the melatonin. Sprinkle the mixture in the air and let your grandmother know she has passed on and it is time to go to heaven.

I'm sure it was her great grandmother.
Children are closer to God, and have this ability.
Children can see and hear them without any problem. Thats why some have a "friend" no
one can see. Think about it.

What kind of a connection could exist between two people based on what others decide to call them?

No reason why it couldn't be. The white clothes bit lends it credibility. Many who have seen visions of heavenly messengers have reported exactly the same thing.

There are spirits that take on ones identity, the bible calls them familiar spirits, they are demonic in nature. I had a friend who's daughter had the same experience. People when they pass on, either go to heaven or hell, there is no state of limbo.

I have meditated on your question for many hours. I conclude that the woman your daughter saw was not her great grand mother. It was a woman named Heather, and she is angry at your daughter because one day on a family vacation to brighton your daughter spat on her grave.

children are very open to spirit ... so it wouldnt surprise me
but those memories do fade as we get older and we loose that connection with spirit as our physical life takes over
she may of course regain that connection as she gets older ... but we never know
