In my town a 15yr old shot and killed a police officer. This has been the 1st shooting/killing of a police officer since 1970 in my town. Will this minor be charged as an adult and how much time do you think he will get?

As an officer...there is nothing else that incenses me more when one takes the life of another.
Of course I feel a great loss when a fellow officer is slain. Officers put their lives before others. We deal with good and bad everyday knowing that bad things can happen to us.
The pay is not worth the life this officer gave! His family will never see him again! His children will never get a hug from daddy again. His wife will never feel the warmth of his body next to hers! He will never see his children grow up!
The system of this land has GOT to improve where we aren't running around killing each other!
This is just one of those times where you want to throw your hands in the air and ask if it's worth the effort!
The juvenile will most likely be tried as an adult and hopefully spend the rest of HIS life in prison!
In the meantime...it's my hope that your community pulls together and sends a message to those who consider taking the life of another that they will suffer the consequences.

Most likely he will be tried as a adult, and depending on the state, either life in prison or the death sentence for killing a police officer assuming this was a on duty officer.
so even at best, he would not be out till he is a old, old man.

Yes he will be charged as an adult. I hope he gets the maximum sentence. He did shoot a Peace Officer. Normally that could get you life.

In some areas, ther are provisions in the law to try them as adults.They may received the death penalty, just like an adult.
