I had a long distance relationship with someone I loved completely and totally. We're broken up now, and after we broke up, we promised to be the best of friends. So far, I've held up my end of the bargain, but he hasn't his. Should I let it go, since we're still so far apart, or continue to pursue his friendship? His ignorance of me is getting quite aggrivating [if it even is ignorance of me].

I disagree, long distance relationships can work, it just takes more effort and i think proves how strong your love is.

I'd say just move on. If he hasn't been holding up his end of the bargain, then he may not want to be friends with you, he may have just been paying you lip service and telling you what you want to hear.
