Write your goals down on paper, list what you want to accomplish that day, that minute, that hour. Scratch off everything you accomplish. It does not have to be big, just a goal like showering at a specific time. Write out a schedule of what you want to do for that day and stick to it. I am sorry that things are rough for you at this time but the good news is that you have the ability to pull yourself out of this rut. Just do it. Pick yourself up and dust yourself off, give yourself a good shake and say ok I have had enough of my pity party, so now I am going to do something about it. Find a job, it does not have to be the ideal job, but a job, that will give you direction and discipline to get up, showered, dressed, eating, and something to do until you find the right job for you. You must know it will not fall into your lap, so you must make it happen. Set small goals each day, write your schedule and stick to it, no matter how much you want to say to heck with it. You have the power to turn your life around. I know you can do it. I have been there and done that too. I have faith in you, you need to have faith in yourself. Good luck, God bless and put angels on your pillows.

Stop expecting motivation and just make a commitment to tackle things step by step. A commitment to spend 30 minutes looking for a job. A commitment to walk around the block 3 times a day.

you obviously have some motivation and ambition or you wouldn't be asking the question.
to get energy you have to get moving. sitting like a lump just makes the depression worse and doesn't get you anywhere.
walk down to the employment security building, look at the help wanteds there and get a job. Everything one day, one step, at a time.

I'm bipolar & have gone through many periods of depression. The one thing that always helps me to get moving & trying again is to do something for someone else. I never feel like I'm worth waisting any time or energy on, but if someone else needs me that makes me want to do something. If i'm helping someone it gives me a sense of being useful. Then I can begin to feel as if I do have a purpose to still be here. It helps me, maybe it will help you! Good Luck & don't give up! It will get better, sometimes it just takes awhile.

The best thing to do is trick yourself, even if you dont have a job, get up and dress for success like you do. Youll get a little energy boost every time you see your reflection. If you just hang around the house in sweats youll confirm what you already feel. Get out there, look great and you'll start to feel great, too.

I've been going through this for a while, and there was one day that I just realized that if I didn't start going to class and living life, I was going to lose my scholarship and ruin every relationship in my life.

You've just got to make yourself get up even if you don't want to and go about life, and eventually it will get better. I know everyone says that, but it's the truth. If you make yourself take the first step, it gets a bit easier to keep going.

You need to get some friends that will help you become more motivated. Having positive people that you love, around you, really helps. Trust me on this one!

If you are seriously depressed, then you should see your doctor. In this day and age, no one should have to live with depression. Medication can help!!!
