1) put the cola in a plastic bottle
2) put the mentos in the bottle
3) screw the "hat" on the bottle
4) wait until the bottle explode.

I wouldnot do this in home or in the street
its extremely dangerous and it makes a lot of noise.

not necessarily a bomb, but a very messy reaction
just drop mentos into the coke, maybe shake up the coke a little and it'll spray

salt also works

I think the idea is that if you do the usual coke/mentos thing in a closed bottle it will burst the bottle in a rather dramatic fashion.

idea is to mix all of menthos with coke at the same time.

you can either slide them into the bottle from a small tube (like rolled paper); that results in a geizer.

Or put a bit of scotch tape around it, so it keeps out the coke, but just barely. Then shake the bottle, scotch breaks, and same thing happens.

it is not chemical reaction, btw - it's just that surface of menthos forces the bubbles to form

Not a bomb, just a really cool fountain. They showed it on an episode of Numb3rs.
