I'm sort of in a 'getting serious' relationship.Unfortunately my boyfriend's best friend happens to be my worst enemy. It seems she takes all my 'alone time' with him up.When i confront him about it all he can say is "She is my best friend I can't just brush her off. We've known eachother since forever etc." The only thoughts that run through my head is 'yea right.' I hate the sight of her, her voice annoys me, and when she says hi to me i get this cold shudder because I know its fake.Rumor has is that they were eachothers 'First' and if it is so I can't help but to feel a bit envious. She knows all there is to know about him and more and all I know about him are the simple things.Sometimes he hangs up with me just to drive her to the store. One time I even noticed how their little 'Friendly' game turned flirtatious. I'm jealous of her but yet I still have no clue why when I have him and she doesn't.Any advice?

It's natural to be jealous. She is competing for his attention and affection. If I were you I would just look for another guy who puts me first. Or I would become best friends witht the other girl and forget about the guy. If he is best friends with her and they flirt...they are just waiting to be together...eventually they will at that rate. I mean maybe it's fun for them but he is going to come to a point in his life where he will have to choose him or a wife. Best friends of the opposite sex is a dangerous thing to have around. I know had a teacher who got his "best friend" pregnant when his wife and him were having a hard time and his wife was pregnant at that time...woops. It's just too easy to get too close. Some people can do it...but from my perspective it's too complicated. Sorry, I know that might not make you feel any better...I guess it's more of a warning to not set yourself up to get hurt.

UGH! I know exactly what you mean! My x had a best girl friend too and at first she would bug the hell out of me cause she would be super flirtacious with him infront of me. She had a boyfriend that seemed to be ok with it but when I came into their group of friends I found it pretty disrespectful. I mean I have a best guy friend that I call my brother and I love him to death and go all out for him as well but when he has a girlfriend I'm not hanging all over him and whenever hes with her I let them have their time. I suggest you confront your boyfriend about how you feel. He should be understanding and you should tell him that you understand their bestfriends but your his girlfriend and he should show you more affection and comfort you that there isnt anything more between them. If they truly are just friends he should have no problem putting her aside every now and then for the girl that hes with and interested in. Good luck!

What a game! Personally, I wouldn't waste my time. Not because I was jealous, but because in a relationship I deserve to be number one female of the year. Why be in a relationship, when I can be friends with plenty of dudes? Being friends the two of them is great, but keep it to hi, how are ya, just like I bet he would like you to be with another guy! Gee, maybe he would feel differently if you acted the way he was?? Ask him? This chick is probably really getting off on this huh? Well, it shouldn't be at your expense! Doesn't she have a bf? Probably not, cuz no dude would put up with her acting that way towards her best friend, your boyfriend! Just isn't cool to me!!

No you don't have him, he's probably getting it from both of you. Find someone who cares and respects you.
