is she allowed to deliver care on the community to elderly vulnrable people

Elderly, vunerable people dont just pick up MRSA. It is passed through open wounds. If she has been given the all clear by her doctor then there is not a problem. Did she pick up the infection from work? If she did i think you should be worrying more about the hygeine standards.

if she still has MRSA i would be very careful, i also do the same job and know you have to wear gloves, i had a s/u that had MRSA and was only told this by her daughter, as care wokers in the community we do NOT have to be told if a service user has it but not sure about vise versa, i just think as long as she wears gloves and does not have to change dressings or do any p/c then i would think its ok as a s/u you can refuse to have her!
