i accidently had a jolly racher in school and i gave up desert items

Lent starts on Ash Wednesday, lasts 40 days not counting Sundays and ends on Holy Saturday, the day before Easter.
In 2007, Ash Wednesday will fall on February 21 and Easter on April 8.

25 26 27 28 29 30 31 = 6 days, 34 days total.

Lent starts at MIDNIGHT on the 21st of February ... that is 'before' that day, not 'after' that day. And I wouldn't say that you having one 'Jolly Rancher' is 'sinning' because it's not actually a 'dessert item' ... it's a 'candy' but not one you eat for 'dessert' ... but if you are trying to 'give up all the sugary stuff' then you have 'sinned' but just a little ... so 'say a prayer' and ask God to 'help you remember' ... and THANK YOU for 'caring' about Lent ...
