Border collies are lovely, I also adore Rhodesian ridgebacks and Bearded collies. At the mo I'd have to be loyal and say Cavalier King Charles as we have our little pup Fletcher now and love him such much!.
As an aside - My parents have two mutts - their mother is a Bull Mastiff and their father is an Alsation/Rottie cross - they are absolutely beautiful boys and have to be two of the sweetest, gentlest absolutely huge dogs I have ever had the pleasure to meet. In my opinion lending more proof to the thought that it is the owner that makes the dog. Even when we went to choose them the breeder said she would only sell to families and stressed that they were absolutely NOT guard dogs, they are loving and loyal and thrive in a caring family.

I too own a border collie and a heinz 57. They are great dogs and they live for a long time. My last one was 15 1/2 when she died. I love doing agility with them.

I own a Chow Chow. She is so beautiful! I got the runt of the litter. Now 6 1/2 yrs old, red/blonde color, no odor cept when she's wet! Gross! She is an OUT side dog. She sheds like crazy & when she gets excited she pees. I'd love to find a yorkie for inside! They are sooo adorable! My stepson has asthma & the vet says this type of dog is the only other breed besides a poodle for him.

Alaskan Malamute - absolutely breathtaking, hard working, playful, loyal animals, who need eccesive care and loads of attention and plenthy of physical exercise.
Chocolate Labs are my second fav. Cute, loving and loyal dogs. Still require love and attention and activity, but less than malamutes.
We currently have a 7 yo Collie cross. She's very playful, very active, very responsive and very rewarding to have around. We have discussed the ownership of a Lab and Malamutes in the future, and they are both a deffinate in the future.

Border collies are very beautiful and are so loyal and alot of fun. My favourite is a Great Dane, only cos I did have one, he had a massive personality, cheeky most of the time!! but sadly I lost him a few ago, could never bring myself to replace him. Enjoy her while you have her.
