Get him to the vet. Especially if he is a puppy. They just cannot take too much diarrhea when they are young AND even if he is not a puppy, you sure don't want to take any chances, do you?

Have you changed his diet??? Alot of times a change in diet will give a dog diahera. Food should be mixed slowly when switching to a new kind. This may be your problem. It is also possible that your dogs fecal sample was a false negative. Worms do not come on over night and sometimes they need to get bad enough to show up in a sample. Some of the worms such as cocidia are very hard to detect and could be missed in the lab work. A fecal is done by taking a sample then spinning it in a solution where the worms are brought to the top then put on a slide and checked with a microscope by the human eye. There is also a worm that can only be found by a snap test or having a sample sent to the lab. As far as the dehydration goes pull on the scruff (the back of the neck) and see how fast it goes back to its original position. If it bounces back rather quick your dog is not dehydrated. If the skin stays in the position you pulled it a little longer than there may be a dehydration issue. Check with your vetrinarian if you are still concerned. Three main questions to ask yourself is "Is he eating, drinking and acting normaly?" If any of these questions are a "no" call your vet.

take him back to the vet, they'll want to test him for worms again and give him dewormer to be safe.
you can use Imodium(anti-diarrhea medicine) to harden his stool, it's safe,
my pomeranian puppy was having the same problem and thats what the vet recommended. give your dog a small dose though!
the vet will tell you how much would be safe.
Also, restrict him from anything but his normal dog food and water. and just water through the night.
If your dog starts seeming less playful, sleeping more, or depressed take him to the vet immediately, he could die from dehydration if it gets worse.
I recommend buying some Nutri-Cal puppy supplement, from petsmart, petco wherever, because it will help keep his blood sugar from dropping due to dehydration.
and lastly, keep him indoors if he's a puppy, for sure, you don't want him catching parvo! wait until he's at least 12 weeks old and had his shots(wait a week too).
good luck!

I had the same problem with my dog when I got her. I dewormer and everything and stool was real soft. After almost two months I found out that I was feeding her to much. Some foods are high in minerals and vitamins (high protein). Make sure your feed the right amount. Its okay to feed more than once a day. I feed my dog 3 times a day. I just don't feed more than I am suppose too. Example the food guidelines say to feed 3 cups slip them in 1 cup 3 times a day...etc.... go to a pet store they should sell anti-diarrhea medicine for dogs

I suggest see a vet, as no one online can diagnose the cause of his diarrhea.
There are MANY things that can cause diarrhea in dogs, and only a vet doing an inperson checkup can deturmine the cause of this case :) If you are EVERY concerned about the health, and well being of your pets, it's always best to contact a vet.

Dogs are very sensitive to stressors such as a new home, new people, new food, etc. If he is a puppy, make sure he is getting the right food and can't get into anything (like a trash can or something). Also, make sure you're feeding him the proper amount, based on his weight.

You may need to take him back to the vet if he doesn't get rid of it. Before you do, you might try changing his diet. He may get dehydrated, but if you have an ear dropper or anything similar, you may want to try force feeding him water. If he gets ANY worse, take him to the vet.

Take him back to the vet! Depending on if he is up to date on his shots-he could have contracted something. Or he could have picked up giardia or something else that the vet did not think to check for.
