It's an old Persian proverb....... so there's no telling who said it first.

I wept because I had no shoes, until I saw a man who had no feet.

it was a story written about a poor child who complained to his father about having no shoe's, so his father took him to meet a little boy that didnt have any feet. to show his son how much more fortunate he was.
