if you went to a clean shop were they fallow the laws for the state you live in then you should fine. but if you see any reddening or purpling around it and oozing. then i would go to Dr asap also you can just ask the Dr at your next visit and see what he has to say he ca take blood work to check it out.

You should be fine unless the needle was not clean and any nice tattoo parlor should use a new needle every time. On my last day of vacation my husband and I got matching tattoos on our backs and I found out a couple days later that I was 3-4 weeks pregant and I am now 26 weeks and baby seems fine.

It will not. I had breast surgery, and about 3 weeks later I found out I was pregnant. Not only was I pregnant, but I was about 9 weeks. I was very concerned because they use sedation medicine, but my doctor said that I was not under long enough for it to effect my baby. Also if you get an infection, Just go to your doctor, and everything should be fine. I know how it feels to be freaking out about something. I hope this can put your mind at ease a little.

No a tattoo can't hurt the baby. As long as the needle was sterilised and it was in a clean safe environment then it won't harm your baby at all so don't worry. I didn't know i was pregnant until i was seven and a half months gone so I'd done all sorts like eaten nuts mayonnaise and eggs!!

NO don't worry. I spent two weeks absolutely plastered before I discovered I was pregnant. Let me explain that I discovered I was pregnant on the second week of my honeymooon, hence the large alcohol intake. My, now, 11 year old daughter suffered no ill effects and is now, in fact a thriving 5"6 bundle of health. Don't worry, worrying is worse for you and the baby than anything. Just relax and enjoy. XX

Probably not. First off, your blood stream is not connected to the baby until the placenta is fully formed and active. That doesnt happen until about a month. Any toxins that got into your bloodstream (assuming you went to a clean tattoo artist, who used new needles) were probably disolved very very quickly.

I wouldnt worry about it. I drank like a fish and smoked a pack a day until I found out, and the doctor said I was fine. :)

Good Luck!

You'll only hurt your baby if the needle was infected. The chances of that are pretty slim, if you're still worried try taking a blood test to see if you have any infections running through your blood.Otherwise nothing has happened to your baby.Don't worry it would only be a small infection not enough to really hurt your baby.Good Luck and Congratilations!

The reason that you're not supposed to get tattoos when you're pregnant is due to the rist of AIDS and infection. There is nothing in the ink that will hurt your baby, but you will need to make sure during your prenatal care to get the AIDS test done, just to be aware. Right now, just make sure to take care of that tattoo and don't let it get infected!

Unless you have a reaction or the place you got the tattoo was unsanitary then no. Keep an eye for staff infections and make sure the tat is healing properly.

Only if there was an infection on the needle. The inks down penetrate your blood stream. BUT !!!!!!!!, be warned. Being pregnant mucks up all sorts of things on YOUR body and you may find your skin rejects the inks and might start giving you all sorts of problems. It happened to my ex wife under the exact same circumstance and all the areas of red ink became inflamed and swollen for months.
