Yes you can, i know a lot of people who have gotten pregnant so they take it out and redo it after they have the child. since yours is stretched maybe you should take it out and let it close then have it redone. call a place that does piercings and ask their opinion on it.

all piercings have the capacity to shrink, stretch or reject. Some people think that the body only rejects the piercing in a short period of time after having it done but it can take years. The body recognises the piercing as a foreign object invading the skin and works to get rid of it if you like, that's probably why the skin is thinning. Unless you have lost or gained significant amounts of weight lately as this trauma also effects piercings.
I have my belly button pierced at the top and the bottom and yes you can have it pierced multiple times.
It sounds like the bar will ultimately force its way out of the skin, id advise taking it out altogether, leaving it to heal over then having it re-pierced over the scar tissue to avoid having the 'dent like' scars.

Its rejection (aka your body pushing the jewelry out) or the piercing was pierced poorly or to shallow and in some cases very heavy jewelry can pull on the piercing and cause such severe migration.
If you take out the piercing now before the skin splits, minimal damage will be done.
You will have to allow at least 1 year before getting your navel re-pierced, but re-piercing is possible and if you have it redone by a skilled reputable piercer and take care of it, this shouldn't happen again.

yes you can have it done more than once, why don't you get the one that is tearing taken out and let that heal up and then you won't have any terrible marks if it tears!
Then just go for it!
go for two or three, how many you want , but maybe use less weight with your piercings, that is what i would do.
There is alot to choose from with out having those big bars in. your skin in that area maybe very thin anyways making it proned by the heavy weight to stretch and make it more elastic. I think it is best to get it removed hun like i said and the healing process might give you a bit of scarring, but will also toughen that area for as many lighter weight pearcings as you want!
best of luck to ya!

Mine fell out in my sleep the first time I got it. Not grew out, just the ball came unscrewed. I waited about 6 months for it to completely heal and went to a shop to get it redone. Now I'm not going to lie to you. It went thru scar tissue and hurt like all heII. I have a high pain tolerance, but I was tearing up. So far, it's been great. I've had it for about 6 yrs now, and I also have 3 other normal naval piercings (in a cross: top, bottom, left, right) and one surface naval piercing on the bottom (that hurt too).
It usually grows out like that from wearing too heavy of jewelry

my friend had the same problem from wearing too heavy jewelery so she took that piercing out to give it time to heal up and got the bottom pierced instead so she could still have a piercing, it looks realy good. u will have to wait a long time for the first 1 to heal up(about a year) so thats an idea if u cant do without it for that long.
