As a 17 year paralegal for a criminal attorney in Georgia, I would estimate that the sentence will be approximately 2 years unless the charge is reduced to a lesser charge.

Possession with the intent to distribute is a drug crime and a felony offense.

The lowest punishment for a felony conviction is a specific monetary fine and a minimum of one year and a day to life imprisonment.

Most distribution cases will involve SOME jail time in my state...however...I can't answer for the standard in Georgia!

None the less...the punishments are the same no matter what state you live in.
