It depends when you bought your pc, if u purchased it from i think september 2006 to the day it came late jan then u can get in contact with microsoft and depending on what version you had previously you may be able to get if free, these being if u had media addition xp, then u can have media eddition vista for free, but if u had home eddition xp its a fee of approx £30 to get home edition vista, so if your pc or laptop doesnt qualify then it is available on ebay, you could try kellko or froogle to search for the best price. If your computer is capable of
running Vista, then you can buy it on e bay
at a good price,
If you are running Norton, then as far as I know
Vista is not compatible with it.
I am waiting a while yet before considering
upgrading..

Do a search for an OEM version.
When your PC manufacturer builds their pc, they dont pay £399 for it, they buy an OEM version for about £50 and you can tooooo
