Ok…I have chronic headaches! We are talking 24/7 here! I don’t have a tumor. I don’t have a brain aneurisms. My eyes are fine. My hormones are like another girl and I don’t have migraines! I have been to every doctor and hospital out there. They give me no long terms medication. I am sick of these disabling pains!

Symptoms are: nauseous, dizziness, very tense neck and upper back mussels, SUPER light sensitivity along with sound, smell and noise and colours!!! Not to mention highly sensitivity to high paced, busy environment! I’m practically dysfunctional! The pain is located around the front of my forehead, behind my eyes and down the left hand side of my head!

To Consider: I have scoliosis in my back where my spine is slightly curved! This is common. But could be an underlying cause? To make things worse, I am a total stress case! My heart is fluttering nonstop! Could the mussel tension be due to this and thus causing the head pain?

Please help!

You just defined a classic example of migraine headaches. I had all the same problems you listed and went thru all the tests. Sometimes even my teeth hurt! My final stop was a neurologist who made the diagnosis of migraine & tension headaches. Had them chronically for 30+ years. They started to diminish when I was in my mid 40's and I am now in my 50's and only get on occasion. There are lots of new meds that work to prevent & relieve migraines. At the time I got them, we had almost nothing to treat them. I finally found a doc who prescribed antidepressants to prevent the "uptake of seratonin" - meaning they prevent the seratonin chemical from being used up so fast by the brain (ie Stress, fast paced life, etc). Now, there are plenty of meds that stop, prevent & relieve migraines. I can't believe you haven't found a doc who has diagnosed or prescribed migraine treatment for you. Where do you live? Have you been to specialists? Sometimes, if you go to hospitals and complain of pain, they send you away because a lot of drug addicts complain of migraines to get meds. A friend who worked in the ER told me this one day. Also, stay away from the artifical preservative MSG (typically found in Asian cuisine although they are pretty good about not adding it now days), chemicals & perfumes. To this day, I still cannot stand bright lights, chemicals or perfumes of any kind-it's like they trigger a migraine immediately.

I would also suggest visiting a chiropractor. At one time I also had neck pain, headaches and dizziness. I went to my doctor a few times, had some tests but she couldn't find anything wrong. She prescribed a medication for muscle relaxers but it had no effect. Then a friend suggested that I make an appointment with a chiropractor. After about 3 visits I noticed a marked improvement. After about three weeks of treatment I was back to normal. You should look for a well recommended chiropractor. I'm sorry to say that not all chiropractors are good however, some a phenomenal.
Additionally, if you haven't already, maybe you should visit a neurologist. But first, give the chiropractor a try.
Good luck to you.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information

The first thing you need to do is getting something for the tight muscles and for your anxiety and then ask your neurologist to try some migraine prevention meds on you. There are tons to try so if one doesn't work they can try another. If the docs won't help you then get a new set of docs. Also consider getting your scoliosis taken care of either conventionally or see a chirpractor for help with your spine and neck.

Sounds like a case of migraine with cervicogenic component. First, cervicogenic headache is best treated with Chiropractic Manipulation. Some massage or myofascial release would do also on top of that.

I had severe daily headaches for 6 years myself. I had similar symptoms to you...nausea, vomiting, upper back and neck pain, etc. I went to numerous Drs. I finally went to a 2nd ENT and found I had a bacteria deep in my sinus'. They cleaned it out through surgery and I have felt GREAT for 6 months! Oh, and the upper back and neck pain went away too. The headaches were causing me to tense up. Get 2nd opinion from an ENT.

Start with a good chiropractor and masseuse. I would also visit an allergist if you haven't already. You could definitely have environmental allergies.
