o forgot this and sometimes i sorta GLANCE over his way and I see his face toward me kinda lookin at me. ( no there was nothin behind me) one time he did this and it was really dark and im not exactly sure if he was lookin at me but it sure looked like it. is that flirtin

sorry i totally keep forgitting to put the detalis in. ok yes im 14 hes 17. my dad is all yeah u can go w/ him occasionally but there is no way i can ask him out. i am a firm beliver in guys make the first move. hes really sweet and hes not gay or anything else creepy

Yes, I think he definitely likes you and if hes making you feel like this maybe you like him to. Maybe you should try calling him your own little pet names (that noone else calls him) and flirt back with him when he flirts with you and if he likes you (which i think he does) he may make the next move!! Just try it, you got nothing to lose. Does he act like this just with you or around other girls to?

3. Look for whether s/he focuses on you in a crowd.
4. Observe if s/he has suddenly taken more interest in your friends.

6. Start showing her/him a bit more interest and see how they respond.
7. Have a friend talk to her/him or one of her/his friends about you.
8. Ask, '[name], are you interested in me?' Tips: Hopefully you will not have to use steps 7 or 8, but if you're having difficulty reading her/him, these steps are your last resort! Remember, this is not an exact science, and it may take a few mistakes to perfect your technique.

Boys flirt by teasing or joking around. So him calling you names is definely a sign of flirting. You said he has also majorly flirted with you- so I think you sort of answered your own question. If they flirt, they are usually insterested.
Something else I would like to bring up is how you said he is 17. You didn't say what age you were, so I went to your profile and saw that you are 14. The age difference changes my answer a lot. Guys who flirt with girls more than three years younger than them, may be trying to take advantage of them. Be very careful. Don't get into a romantic relationship with this guy until you know more about him. And if you do decide to take a chance, go very slow. You don't want to be pulled into a situation you don't want to be in.

He could be fishing. If you reject him then he was just being your friend - if you go out with him then it asserts that he was flirting with you. He's playing it safe.
