Yeah it does seem to be that way. And when people drink that already smoke they seem to smoke twice as much.

I was a pack a day smoker. I was sick for 3 weeks and could not smoke. When I got well I had no desire to smoke. I did not smoke for 6 months. Went to a bar and had a beer. After the second beer I asked the bartender for change for the cigarette machine. I have a sister who only smokes when she drinks.

No, I do not agree. I have never smoked but drink quite a bit. I have never craved for a smoke when I drink. Maybe if I had smoked and given up it would have been different.
Cheers,

I always smoked more when I was drinking, but I quit smoking about 8 months ago, and even when I'm drinking I'm not smoking any more.

My husband and I are the same way. The minute we are drinking and having fun we just have to have a cigarette or for me I love cigars. Otherwise neither one of us smoke at all. My husband hates smoking but he can't resist when he is drinking.

I agree but it's not just cigarettes, but tobacco in general. I personally prefer cigars to cigarettes but when i am drinking i definately want to smoke, there are a few guys that i know that dip as well, but only when they drink.

Well, for me it's different. I have never smoked, so of course when I drink I have no desire to smoke. But, to me most cigarettes just don't smell good at all.

Absolutely. but some of my friends complain that the only have hangovers if they smoke. in my opinion they are blowing the smoke out their a$$s when they say that though. BUT...i used to only be a casual smoker and now its a full time habit. the questions is..take the chance or not?

I say....most drinking is done where people are smoking and that is why it becomes a problem..If you aren't a smoker you don't crave what you don't know...
