Does the program i'life for macs contain all the neccesary programs?

I was wondering if it had music, word processing, video, etc.

iLife does NOT contain a word Processing Program. You have several options:
1) Ms-office 2004-the "student-teacher edition is reasonably priced)
2) Apple own iWork(contains Pages for WP and Keynote for Presentations)
3) several "Free" options exist, such as ABIword, and Neo Office(just search for em)
Your mac does come with Text edit, a simple WP program that can save into RTF format and can be read by word. Thisis only for creating small files though.

iLife contains: itunes to play music, garageband to record music, iphoto for pictures, imovie for making movies and iDVD to burn your home movies and iweb for making wesites.
