I know I should stop, I dont need a million people telling me not to so please dont answer me with that, I just want to know how many days after I dont have to worry about complications before I can smoke again.

I'm a smoker, too (and I really like how everyone just immediately told you to quit smoking, as if the thought had never occurred to you. Cute.) and I just had my lower wisdom teeth dug out a couple days ago. Just make sure when you do have a cigarette that you've got gauze or tea-bags stuffed back there and keep your jaw clenched and don't drag too hard. You'll be fine. Good luck!

How ever long the doctor told you to wait to use a straw. Smoking causes the same suction motion in your mouth as using a straw so the blood clots could get sucked out and you could start bleeding again.

I would wait at least one week. My surgeon told me to wait a week before using a straw to drink anything or smoke.

I smoked with mine too and did not suck too hard...I never got dry socket, but I heard it is very painful...so be careful...resist as long as you can. But maybe I did, I have a high pain tolerance...LOL

I think they suggest like 2 weeks. Did you dentist give you any papers with the guidelines of what you should do to ensure good healing? It will say on there, otherwise, give them a call and just ask.

P.S. Quit smoking. :)

How about - never? Does that work for you?

Actually, you can just unroll the cig and push the tobacco right into the hole. Ohhhh! What a rush!

Stop smoking. If you're worried about complications, then why are you doing it?

72 days and after that, if you still feel the need, have another tooth pulled
