How do I know when I am in Love? I have know this guy for quite a while. We have been going out for a month. Everytime I think about him my insides set on fire. I can't get him if my mind, I have dreams about him, and he is shy but sweet. How do I know Help!!!!!

Love, love, love...... OK - first, realize that love is a choice. It is a commitment that you make to someone. Love doesn't just jump on us and make us helpless. We are in control of who we choose to love.
With that said, what you are feeling is not love. It is lust, infactuation, sexual attraction, etc.... all those things that cause we mammals to mate. Even if you've known him for a long time... you haven't known him very long in this frame of mind (with your hormones firing all over the place). Give it some time. Take it slow. Make sure he's not pursuing you just for sex. If you and he feel the same about one another and decide to take it to the next level (perhaps a commitment of some sort), maybe it will result in two people loving each other. I know what you are feeling is powerful.... but try to relax and be logical. Love is quite a few steps away.

I can't explain love, i wouldn't know if i was in love either. It seems like when i used to explain to people how i felt about a girl they could use words to describe it, such as infatuation, or attached things of this nature. I don't know what love is but i do know it is powerful and overwhelming. Someone told me that when you love someone you will do anything for them with or without reason. That is just an example as i know that manipulation can work the same way. What is true love? the word love is used so loosely i wouldn't even know where to begin. anyways one thing you do know for sure is that you like him a lot, maybe you do love him? anyways i wish the best of luck to you and your relationship.

I know this is hard to understand, but you just know. If you can't get him off your mind, constantly wondering about him. If you can't live life without him. Can't go a whole day without hearing from him. There are so many things that gives you clues, but you don't figure it out untill later. Try going to your local bookstore and getting a few books on it.

Sounds promising, but remember if it's real, time will tell. Try to calm yourself a bit. Get involved in other activities.
Monday I was going nuts. I just wanted to talk to him. Instead I took the dog for a walk. It was good for me and the dog. I shook the cobwebs out of my brain for awhile.
Just give it time. Easy to say, but I'm right where you are.

Your insides sort of burn, you can't stop thinking about him, you want to be with and/or do something with him, you can't sleep very long, being with him feels natural to you, you dream about him, You enjoy being with him, you're happiest when with him, you look better even to yourself, than before you met him, you dress better for him, than you dressed before. ...The signs are all there, kitten.. You're in love! Now start doing some positive things about it.
