oh, if you buy a new apple that has an intel procesor then you can partitiont he hardrive and run xp and osx ont he same computer, not at the same time of course. so if you go that route with an intel processor then you can use that same instal cd you already ahve for windows...

if you have an older mac without an intel processor then you would either need to get virtual pc and run that program as a windows emulator. that is the only way to use the same windows instal cd for any .exe program.

if you dont already have office then you can buy the office suite for your mac at the apple store or apple.com

No, there's a special version of Office for Mac. However, if you have an Intel-based Mac and software like Parallels (http://www.parallels.com/en/products/desktop/) then you can install XP and Office. But it won't run on the Mac natively.
