This is to start you off:
The history of Christianity concerns the history of the Christian religion and the Church, from Jesus and his Twelve Apostles to contemporary times. Christianity is the monotheistic religion which considers itself based on the revelation of Jesus Christ. "The Church" is understood theologically as the institution founded by Jesus for the salvation of mankind.
Christianity began in the 1st century AD as a Jewish sect. It quickly began to spread outside Judaism throughout the Greco-Roman world. Although it was originally persecuted by the Roman authorities, it would ultimately become the state religion of the Roman empire. In the Middle Ages it would spread beyond the old borders of the Western Roman Empire to Northern Europe and Russia. During the Age of Exploration, Christianity would spread to all parts of the world; it is the world's largest religion.
Throughout its history, the religion weathered schisms and theological disputes that have resulted in the development of three main branches: Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, and Protestantism.
now the rest is up to you...

I'm not normally given to helping people with their homework, but start with gnostic judaism, then go to 325 AD and the council of Nicea. You'll see where gnostic judaism was married with paganism to produce what's known as christianity today.
Hope that helps start you in the right direction.

You just asked the question - the million dollar question....and I bet you most Christians can't even tell you this....they are not very bright history majors you know. You need to look up ancient Israel / Hebrew info. there are too many details to give you in this little box.

Christianty came with the birth of Jesus {PBUH} and when he spoke with his people while he was in his cradle and told them that he is a messenger to them to tell them to worship Allah, the only god .
notice:
You will not find these facts in your books because alot of them deny these facts because it came from AL Quran .
Even the bible has alot alot of mistakes, made by people who wrote it.
So the best way to find information on the subject is in islamic related books.
