IF she was in contact with males, get her to the vet. The only thing she should be mating with is a teacup dog. Anything larger will kill her. If you don't know who the father is, have the pregnacy terminated and the dog fixed.

Hi, i have a chihuahua thats pregnant and beleive me i asked the same question. I took her to the vet and they told me first thing to do is weigh her and see how much she weighs and then weigh her again in about 2 weeks if shes gained a little bit of weight then take her in so they can do a blood test to determine if she is pregnant. The vet also told me to wait about 7 weeks from the time she was in heat and if i wanted to do an ultrasound so they can see how many puppys she is going to have. Its better if you get one done so that when she is giving birth you will know when she is done or not or if she has too many they might have to do a C section. Keep a very close eye on her while she is giving birth because she could have complications. The best thing for you to do is take her in the 7 weeks so they can do the blood tests. Hope i answered your question.

It's not unusual for swelling of the teats to occur during a heat if the female is "hormone heavy". We had a Pit Bull in our shelter and we were concerned that she had come to us pregnant -- but she wasn't; she just plumped up a lot when in heat. (We got her fixed right away.)

A dog's gestation period is 58 to 65 days long, and they don't usually start showing their pregnancy until they're about 45 days along. (They will not go into heat when pregnant.) Other signs of pregnancy are a swollen belly, spontaneous vomiting (like the doggie version of "morning sickness"), and behavior changes (such as nest building).

Because her nipples are swollen does not mean she is pregnant, that could be what they call false whelp. Was she in contact with any intact males?
Your vet can do an ultra sound if in doubt.

The risks to her health if she was impregnated by a larger dog are not something to mess with. Was she with an intact male dog that you are aware of? I would get her to the vet ASAP if you think she might be pregnant. Depending on who the stud was you may be better off terminating the pregnancy otherwise you may risk your pet not surviving the pregnancy or birth.

I hope she is ok.

Take her to the vet and get her a pregnant examine up and that they are going to supply her an ultrasound. you may could desire to attend some weeks for it to take place on ultrasound. If she is then you definately could positioned her on domestic dog nutrition for greater valuable nurishment

first and most important do not poke her in her stomach. second check her nipples to see if they are erect , swollen and then check to see if any milk comes out of them. this later will not occur until she is further along if she is pregnate. because she is so small it is wise to have the vet check her out and maybe do a sono. those can be very costly.

Cross your fingers and hope not! Especially if you have larger dogs that could have gotten to her.
