I've always wondered how someone's first love/like effects who and what they like throughout the rest of their lives. I can say from expirience of what it did to me, but I'd like to know what it's done to other people (both sexes answer this please).

Yes, I can say that my first love had a big impact on aspects of who I am and how I think about love. It's very true when people say there is no love like the first love. The emotions are so strong and the heartbreak is so severe. I still remember details about being with him and the things we talked about. We are not in touch, but I know through others where he lives and that he never got married! I certainly would not be interested in him now.... I'm all grown up (41) with 2 children and a husband... but, I do think about him a fair amount. He will always hold a place in my heart.

My first love kind of made me numb I no longer care what people think of me.....when it comes to a guys I'm not as shy anymore b/c I don't care if they like me or not or what I say or do.....I've completely changed in ways....my first love hurt and I lost who I really was b/c I was trying to please someone else that's why know I'm up front....I don't fall for guys as easily anymore I think most of them are full of it and I have a lot of trust issues when it comes to guys...So it has its pros and its cons....

wow. My 1st love was probably one of the best loves ive had. I loved that guy so much and we were always 2gether and we said i love u everyday and it was just phenomenal. He had 2 move though. (i cried 4ever!!)
