Get him fixed. Most dogs fatten up when they have been spade or neutered. If your dog is a very active dog, that is probably why he doesn't gain any weight. He may be wormy too. Dogs will look very skinny when they get wormy.

First, make sure he actually needs to gain weight. Too many people keep their dogs at a weight that is actually unhealthy. We are a fat society making fat dogs too. Look at your dog, can you see the ribs easily? Can you see the backbone or hip bones sticking out easily? If not, then your dog is probably at a good weight. If the dog is truly skeletal, then try adding an additional cup of food to your dog's meal. Your dog should not put on a lot of weight all at one time. You should simply add enough to make your dog slowly gain some weight. Then you can cut back a little to maintain the weight. Adding oil or other additives can cause the dog to bulk up quicker but it's adding fat instead of protein.

By being fed good do you mean you give him lots of food? That isn't always good, you need to feed a premium kibble, like Eagle Pack, Innova Evo. I feed my Great Danes a raw, natural diet.
Also, sounds like the dog could have worms, have you had him wormed?
How old is the dog?
There is a recipe for Satin Balls that will put on weight fast..

switching from a chicken and rice formula or a beef and rice formula to a lamb and rice formula can help your dog to gain weight. I would take him to the vet for a checkup first though, because if he really does have worms or something, no amount of food increase or change is going to help him. Also, the vet can give you the okay to change your dogs diet or other ideas about what you can do to put some weight on him.

if you've already taken him to the vet to be checked out, which is very important just incase he does have tapeworms or whipworms,
then i suggest getting supplements for skin and coat or regular nutrition supplements, they got a special isle in Petsmart for these products.
skin and coat liquid supplements can be added to their food, making it tastier and build his appetite.
In this case, it worked for my dog- he used to only eat small amounts from his bowl through out the day, and now he's got a raging appetite because of this new supplement i added for his itchy skin.
Just be sure to monitor how much he eats, let him always have access to water, don't let him get obese and exercise him,
try taking him jogging with you. :)

First of all...learn how to spell. It's weight...not wait. Second, make sure your dog is getting plenty of food and good proteins. Consult your vet about a healthy weight for him.

He has worms, the worms are eating up his food and he is starving to death. You really need to get him dewormed now. He likely needs his shots I bet, if you don't, he could die from Parvo.
