OK we were all treated for it... Iwas only given 1 dose cause i am pregnant and its considered a Class C for medicine and its not proven if its passed onto the baby growing...although if your breastfeeding its excreated into the milk so i would asume that your also giving the baby the meds to so they only gave me one dose...The kids and hubby are taking 2 doses....

They are due to take their second dose on Monday....So far i haven't seen any sights of worms..YUCK....

I laughed at myself when I read your question. I have 4 children, all grown now, and because my second daughter was always itching around her bottom and sliding. My pediatrician told me to wait until she was asleep and sneak in her room and pull her pants down and if she had pin worms I would see them. Well, I did see them and it freaked me out. I checked myself and I had them as well!! I was up all night, every time I closed my eyes, all I saw was giant worms wiggling inside of me. It was awful! After we were all treated, I found out that Mothers have pin worms more often than even children because we are the ones that do the laundry, going through dirty clothes and cleaning up after little one, then putting our fingers in our mouths. Anyway, your 1st treatment got rid of all the mature worms. You all (including your husband) needs another treatment to get the ones that have become mature between treatments. Please don't panic, lice is much worse to get rid of, LOL.

As I recall, it takes a few days for the worms to reach maturity after they hatch. The first dose should kill all the live worms in 3 or 4 days and the second dose should kill off all the ones that hatch out after the first dose has passed.
And everyone in the house (including husband and pets) need to be treated.

Yikes! Its sounds like it would be harmfull to anyone. These come out of the anus at night and lay eggs i wouldnt sleep in the same bed as him or even lay in the bed he did intell he gets rid of them and the bed is cleaned very well. But i am sure there has to be something U can take to get rid of them if U were to have them. Also even if U know U dont have them i would get checked often just in case. Does Ur hubby have meds to get rid of these?
