The Legendary Book of Jubilee is a midrashic expansion of biblical history from Creation to the First Passover.
It is a pseudepigrapha writing which was rejected by all to be part of the canon. These are writings attributed to fictitious authors. The Pseudepigrapha are books that are clearly inauthentic. Many of these works claim to have been written by biblical authors, but in reality were written between 200 B. C. and A. D. 200. Most of these books are made up of dreams, visions and revelations.

It was called a apocryphal writing since the narratives and stories contained in it are arranged in a fanciful chronological system of jubilee-periods of forty-nine years each; each event is recorded as having taken place in such a week of such a month of such a Jubilee year. The author assumes an impossible solar year of 364 days.
According to the author Hebrew was the language originally spoken by all creatures, animals and man, and is the language of Heaven, which is almost impossible since the Hebrews as a nation, did not exist until hundreds or thousands of years after the Sumerian culture.
He openly denies the resurrection of the body; he does not believe in the written tradition; he does not reprobate animal sacrifices, etc. . . .
