I am not very sure what you are talking about.Usally we say side effects are mean use of drugs or special therapy;such as radiotherapy or chemotherapy(drugs).surgical procedure we don't use side effect this term.Sure all side effects despite how common it should explained to your patients.Do you know that all prescribed medicines get from drug store all with a paper attach and states the medicines 's effect and side effect.But as a health care provider to tell the patient about this is more appropriated.
