will a tattoo parlor do that or will it cause lead poisioning or something? I want to get a signature/ autograph from weird al when I go to his concert on may 26th on my back in black permanent marker and then get it tattooed there and I was just wondering if that is actually possible??( I met him in 99 and he autographed my shirt my mom washed it and it came out so I figure now it will never come off!! I have been planning this for almost a decade!!!)

Sharpie works just fine, but im curious how you plan on having it last long enough to work. Surely it would be easier to get his autograph on a piece of paper then have it stencilled on, that way you know none of it is going to rub off or get messed up. And you can choose exactly where you want it, rather than pot luck that hes going to sign it just where you want it. You dont need to wait any set amount of time before getting it done, ust make sure you take care of it.

No.

I live in a state where tattooing is heavily regulated, Oregon, and some of the artists I know, when doing a custom drawing on say...the shoulder, but close to the neck so the tattoo will cover coller bone, use permanent marker to do the drawing since it will not smudge off once they get the right lines done.

Its safe. Haha, I remember when I was three I colored over my whole body with permanent marker! Three baths in a row. Those are the days! Anyways, make an appoinment with the tattoo parlor the day after (if the concert is at nightime) or that day (if daytime) so it won't wear off when you shower. Its fine! Unless, you want to smell!

Henna lasts longer than permanent marker, and it's safer and looks a lot more real Besides people doing Henna at certain places, there are kits that you can buy to do it yourself. You just paint the stuff on and when it dries, you peel it off and it will have stained your skin, which lasts about a week and a half

Well- Honestly yes you can. If you have him autograph it a few days before you want to get the tattoo it will fade a tiny bit with showers leaving it fully visable to any good tattoo artist. Make sure that you set your appointment for two days after the concert and make sure that you make WEIRD AL use a very fine tip sharpie so that it isnt left thick and icky for the artist. Also have you ever considered just going on ebay or online and printing out WEIRD AL'S signature and getting that tattooed? That would be much easier and quicker so that you wouldnt have to wait for the concert to get the tatoo done. Just a suggestion good luck.

i dont think they would but permanent makers arent permanet on skin... so you could go to the place have them trace the it and then remove the marker and then put it as a tattoo..hope it helps..you could also ask the tatto person before you go get it done

I've seen other people with autograph tattoos and I'd assume they were done that way. I don't see what the danger would be.
