The difference is that was then and this is NOW!! Any time you lose someone it is sad ! I am a military(USAF) mom whose son is going to IRAQ and i am scared for him and all the others over there and pray for them all every day and i am sure that any parent who has or had a child in the militaey feel the same way unless they are heart-less!!!!!!!!!!!!

People sacrifice there own lives to make sure there children, children's children and others may have a chance to stay free and be away from Communism. Our fore fathers new this and sacrificed there own lives so that we may have what we have today. But people today don't want to sacrifice anything and keep what we got. Does that make sense? how can you keep what you have or gain anything without sacrifice? You can't. But a lot of people don't see it that way and won't till it's to late. But they will realize it once they have to kiss someone Else's feet and say your my daddy...

probibly no differnce or very little, all our past wars have been delt with by fighting, but our recent wars ((vieetnam, gulf, iraq) have been media wars and fighting as it used to be is no longer allowed by the UN and geneva convention ((to bad the us is the only one who has to abide by these))

You didn't joint WW1 until 1917.
The majority of the fighting had been done by then.
