Bibi's (great Italian under the viaduct near the station), Viva Cuba (tapas style, near the vue cinema), Amigos (authentic style tapas, small, cramped, but delicious - Kirkstall Road), Teppan-Yaki (Japanese - granary wharf), Est Est Est (Italian - East Parade), Babycream (the headrow, gorgeous food, very trendy), Sous Le Nez (french, quite posh), Oporto (near corn exchange, bar and restaurant, good food, can get quite busy)
This is a selection of some of my favourites, there's loads more to choose from!

Thorpe Park Hotel.
It's a 4* hotel near the M1 but don't let that put you off.
Fantastic food. The chef really knows his stuff. Great service. Pleasant surroundings (honest not fake French, Indian, etc.).
Not cheap though. Cost about £40 per head with decent bottle of Rioja.
If you want to stay overnight they do special deals which might make your aniversary very good.
I'm nothing to do with this chain but I really enjoy their hotels. They are not impersonal like most of the chains.
