Since you had fever preceding the coughing shows that it was of an infective origin, most probably viral. This is mostly self-limiting.
I presume that the coughing is dry and since all the tests have come negative, it rules out a sinister cause.
Nowadays, due to rising pollution everywhere and maybe due to rise in pollens in the air following the winter months preceding it, coughs do tend to become protracted and annoying as in your case. It is mostly due to effects of allergy striking the Upper Respiratory Tract or even sometimes in susceptible individuals, the Lower Respiratory Tract causing an asthma-type condition. The later can be easily ruled out merely by putting the stethoscope to the chest.
Coming to the treatment, you can try the following,
Sy. Phensedyl 2 tsps.2 times a day (or whenever reqd.)
+
Sy. Brozedex 2 tsps. 3 times a day.

But see your doctor, if there is no respite after 3-5 days of treatment for fresh assessment.

The possible reason for regular cough could be pollution. Is it a cold or influenza?

Symptoms Cold Flu
Fever Rare Typical, 102-104F,3 to4
days or more
Headache Rare Prominent
Cough Dry or productive Dry, can become severe

Fatigue, weakness Very mild Can last up up to 2 to 3 Weeks
Extreme exhaustion Almost never Early and prominent
Aches, pains Slight Usual and often severe
Stuffy nose Common Sometimes
Sneezing Usual Sometimes
Sore throat Common Sometimes
Chest discomfort Mild Common

When a cold virus strikes, your upper respiratory tract becomes inflamed. Cold symptoms generally develop 2 or 3 days after you've picked up the virus. Typical symptoms may include a runny nose, sneezing, congestion in your nasal passages and sinus, membranes, sore throat and cough.

Colds can last anywhere from 2 to 24 days, but most people recover in a week. During that time, getting extra rest and drinking plenty of warn liquids may help you feel a little more comfortable. In addition, appropriate use of over-the-counter (OTC) cold medications may provide temporary relief, although these products aren't necessary to recover from a cold.

Although there are antiviral medications to help treat influenza (flu), no antiviral medications are on the market to treat colds. Antibiotics aren't useful in treating a cold virus. They're helpful against bacteria, but not viruses. Unnecessary use of them increases the risk of developing antibiotic-resistant bacteria.

As of 18 months previous we began utilising a time outs and from time to time an employer faucet on my daughter's at the back of, yet needless to say an employer faucet should not be allowed with a daycare. Time outs are sturdy. Have an afternoon out chair that their little ones will use while they act up and a timer to set for his or her time there (a million minute for each twelve months of age). Redirection is powerful too, regardless of the certainty that that could positioned on out at as quickly as as quickly as you hit age 3 as i've got stumbled on with my daughter. attempt surveying the parents that are skill clientele and notice what variety of ideas you get and use maximum human beings regulations (use the ideas that are maximum conventional that extremely artwork) and set the factors by utilising that.

Eat food cooked with a good quantity of garlic daily; consume more ginger, cloves and always drink hot water whenever thirsty. Your cough should vanish in a week.
