My 10 month old small breed puppy does not seem to have as much energy as she use to. She eats pretty well and goes to the bathroom regularly. I know she is not sick. Is there a natural way to boost her energy or any way to get her more excited about life?

My 10 month old small breed puppy does not seem to have as much energy as she use to. She eats pretty well (an all natural chicken breast and raw veggies diet) and goes to the bathroom regularly. I know she is not sick. She has two friends living in the same home and she does playdates. Is there a natural way to boost her energy or any way to get her more excited about life?

Increase the protein in the dogs diet, but only if you are exercising the dog regularly. This may be done in just a higher protein dog food or feeding the dog grilled chicken with nothing added to it or other high protein meats.

What breed of dog is this? It may mean that you got a dog that doesn't fit your style. If you had an Irish Setter, living in an apt.while you are at work all day, that dog would be just about ready to go nuts by the time you got home. Setters are not for apt dwellers. Maybe your dog doesn't have the "personality" you had hoped for. Does she spend alot of time alone? Dogs get depression as do humans, this would be a very young age for that, but if it doesn't get stimulation,it may get bored. Take her for walks, introduce her to the dog park. To not have energy at less than a year old,I would suspect a dietary supplement, only after a visit to the vet. Good luck.

You've never seen a dog food like Purina Beneful brand dog food. It's the ideal solution for dog lovers who want excellent nutrition without having to sacrifice taste. Each contains real wholesome ingredients like beef, chicken, salmon or soy, plus crunchy whole grains accented with vitamin-rich vegetables to provide abundant nutrition. That should help its energy or u can start taking it for more walks and if its a little overweight you can start playing with it more and get it a hobby

My dogs always perk up when they have another dog to play with. Do you have a friend with a dog that yours can socialize with?
