If you give your tithes, do you have to give offerings?

A tithe says, "God, you gave me money, a job, and the ability to work that job, so here is a ten percent of my income to show my love and gratitude for you."

An offering says, "God, you have been sooooo good to me, that I want to show you my love by giving above my tithes."

Offerings are not required, only given according to your love for God.

The tithe is the basis for giving. Anything over the tithe is an offerring. But tithing is recognized and supported in both the OT and the New.
I Cr 13;8a

Tithing is not requisite for Salvation.
But it is requisite for obedience to God.

Tithe are a requirement. Offering should be given gladly in fact there are times you should do a wave offering. Be specific what you are sowing that seed for. It was often done in old testament, when they bought their offerings maybe being a dove or whatever grain it was waved before God for a specific thing. It is simply reciprocity. You can not out give God!

Tithe is 10% of gross income
Offering is extra. God wants obedience and not sacrifice.

Giving a tithe is shown in old and new testament. Funny how people always want to receive blessing but never want to give of their own money.

Scripture says, Give and it will come back to you! Pressed down shaken together and running over

They are basically the same thing - charitable donations to a church. Personally, my "tithing" is 10% of my income. Other donations are considered "offerings."

I know that I have benefited much more since I donate tithes and offerings. I have been blessed!

I AM NOT FORCED TO DONATE. I DO IT FREELY!
