Almost in every dream, the places that I have been very familiar with connect together and form a bigger dream. It just keeps adding up. What does this mean?

There is something different, kinda between a dream and a vision. That is where you want to focus.

It means that your subconscious is connecting your different dreams together. Most dreams are nothing more than dreams. Only on occasions do dreams really mean something significant. At times, dreams can be a way of your subconscious trying to express something to you. But most of the time, dreams are no more than just dreams.

I think all it means is that different places represent different aspects of your life and thought processes, and so they have a tendency to reappear many times. They seem to be interconnected because so are the various aspects of your mind. It happens to me, too, so much so that even in my dreams, I recognize the different places I dreamed about before; it's like walking through familiar neighborhoods.

I believe it is all part of a re-occuring situation that you are trying to solve during sleep. Dreams usually represent "something else"
so evaluate your situation and see, what needs to be dealt with, that you cannot do during waking hours.
