I don't want to spend it or anything (it isn't even double-sided).
I'm doing a science fair project on incentive and wanted to decorate it with something. Dollar bills? Would that be illegal? Does anyone have other ideas?

Yes, it is illegal. However, if you enlarge or reduce the size of the bills, I believe you are okay.
(Many years ago I dressed up as a bag lady for Halloween, I copied money and had it spilling out of one of my shopping bags. I enlarged the bills so that at a distance people could see that it was money, but obviously fake.)

Yes it is illegal! I would use monopoly money, or fake toy money you can buy in the toy section of any store.
