I'm looking for something to do on Saturday, it's my first day off in six months and I don't want to sit at home. Willing to drive anywhere, keep in mind I only have one day to work with. Let's have your ideas. Cheers!!!

Well it did rain this past week but that means there is snow in the mountains!!!! You can go up to Big Bear or Mt. Baldy and go for a ride on the slopes or just play in the snow.

The Getty is always a great place to go.. a great view of the Los Angeles Basin and great art to look at.. you can breathe the fresh air up there.

Visiting Olvera street and Chinatown are always great trips too!

At the mall near Mann's Chinese Theater- you can do the tourist thing with the hand prints and they are also preparing for the oscars which i think they still have on display at the mall somewhere.

Clippers are playing on Saturday at 12:30 at the Staples Center!

Drive out to the Perris Valley / Temecula Valley or Palm Springs areas and treat your self to a ride in a hot air balloon. Then top off your day with dinner at one of the local restaurants. If you select Palm Springs there is also a ride to the top of Mt San Gorgonio by cable car, and the Casino at Cabazon.

If that sounds too costly, take a trip over to Catalina and spend the day exploring Avalon. Or simply go to Ports-o-Call Village and wander through the shops and take a harbor tour.

If cost is no object ($285.00), and you're a really confident kinda gal, go to Van Nuys Airport and take a lesson flying a helicopter. Have fun, enjoy the company of a "cute" pilot, and see the city as you never have before.

The Kids Choice Awards will be held tomorrow, so you might be able to watch the red carpet arrivals. They're being held at the new Galen Center, at USC (3400 S. Figueroa St.), so I'm not sure how they handle the red carpet viewing there... Show starts at 5 PM, so the arrivals should start an hour or two earlier. (Warning: the USC campus is cool, but the neighborhood around it can be dangerous. So stick to the campus.) .

Check out whats up in the laweekly.com and the Los Angeles times on every Thursday has a big Weekend section that will tell you what's going on, events etc...pick a copy up tomorrow.

Or if you want to drive up to Santa Barbara and go whale watching, hang out...there's always an art show/craft fair or something going on up there. San Diego is fun too.

Have fun!

I want to know what you do that doesn't give you a day off. Or maybe you were actually in prison?? ;-)

I think it's suppose to rain. Better check the weather first.

if you like shopping, then you should go strolling around Beverly Hills and Melrose if it doesn't rain this weekend. There're plenty of stores for you to go around.
