I am the same, I have trouble sleeping with someone else in the room, even if its close family. Anxiety will make the problem worse. Try taking a gentle, herbal sleep inducer (such as Kalms) when you have a sleepover, it will help you drift off and worry less.

I can't sleep at others houses either or have anyone sleep at mine unless I'm perfectly comfortable with them. Just take a book with you to read in case you are awake most of the night and try and relax maybe get ear plugs to comfort yourself that you won't hear any noises. Otherwise you could just say that you have to be up early and that you'll stay fro as long as possible but will go home to sleep my friends always understood when i said i couldn't sleep over because i didn't sleep well.

Hey dont worry exactly the same problem myself. Well I used to till my 18th birthday and could legally drink-now I can sleep,if you can call it sleeping. lol. Kidding.
I cant have people stay over because I worry incase I snore and I get over the giggles if someone says something funny. I cant stay over because Im in a strange enviroment and I just keep thinking that I wont be able to sleep and then I cant.
TRY Calms or Kalms, however you spell it. 1 hour before you sleep take 1, you will be relaxed and sleep will follow. Works for me.

I have the very same issue. What I normally will try to drive the whole time Im out that will tire me out. In a new city driving around basically clueless. I try to go every where and do everything. Plus if staying with friends and family I will cook dinner. Anything that will tire you out at night, when you do lay down to go to sleep you will still have that issue because it never goes away, your just a homely type of person. And that's okay, but at least you will be tired.

I have the same problem, I cannot sleep in a strange bed, even at home I take ages to sleep and wake at the slightest noise, just try to relax, even if you don't actually sleep you are still getting enough rest just by relaxing.

that is not weird I sort of have that same problem I can usually fall asleep but I am a very light sleeper unless I am in my own house. You are probabbly just nervous you need to learn to relax when you realise that nothing is going to happen it will get easier and easier you just have to get comfortable with the people you are sleeping over with.

that always happens to me every time i go over to my mates house to stay over i used to try and make excuses to not go over but if you've got an MP3 put a song that u really like on it but only put it up high enough for it to block out the noise that's keeping i awake i know it sounds stupid but if you listen to that instead of the silence of the rest of the house you'll forget about the noise that was keeping u awake and you'll get to sleep worked when i did it
Hope it helps, no one likes a sleepless night.

Try taking a hot shower before going to bed & wear silicone ear plugs to drown out unwanted noise.
