You need a combination of exercise and a healthy diet. It is very important that you start your metabolism early in the day. Here are a few small tips for you to get started today:
1. Drink 3 glasses of milk (especially one for breakfast)
Milk is harder for the digestive system to break down and
therefore the body has to work harder to do it. This helps to
start your metabolism
2. Drink ice cold water during the day. The coldness of the water
needs to be heated by the body. This also makes your body
work harder and keeps your metabolism humming.
3. Run at least 11 miles a week. That is about 2 miles a day for
6 days. It has been shown that a normal diet and 11 miles a
week will help you to lose weight around your tummy. The
more you run over 11 miles the more results you will see.
4. Lift weights at least 2/3 times a week. Muscle burns fat.

Of course this has to be a lifestyle change, not just a two week diet. Do not sit around and eat just salads for lunch and dinner. This will not help you at all. You have to eat a balanced meal and a salad just does not do it. For example, the Japanese who are a country of fit individuals, say that every meal should have 23 different and distinct flavors. You can not get that out of eating only vegetables.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

Eat lots of meat including red meat, chicken, turkey, and fish.
Eat lots of nuts, seeds, and good cheese.
Dont eat anything sweet except for fruit occasionally and dont eat any grains whatsoever. Almost all of your carbs should come from vegetables except for potatoes and tomatoes.
Do cardio 6 days a week and weights also 3 of those days. Follow this and you WILL lose weight.

go get a gym membership and start going to the gym on a daily basis.. get an ipod to help get you motivated at the gym.. and then eat small portions throughout the day.. and NO pasta, bread, or potatoes,maybe throw some cups of green tea in there a day.. and you should be all set.. thats what i'm trying to get started with myself.. spring is almost here and summer will be here before i know it... i gotta get ready for bikini season, so i can start modeling.. goodluck! ;)

one thing i know you can do is take smaller bites and chew them up more it will fill you faster and it will increase your metabolism. also you can eat less more times a day and you will loose weight it worked for me!
