I am with you if you intend to make the world peaceful by spreading good cheer and love among our fellow humans, however, I am against you if you intend to bring about peace by dropping bombs and spouting lots of jingoist propaganda.

Yes, of course. And this is a classic question calling for the answer 'think globally, act locally.' So it might be a good idea to start collecting suggestions, for example:

Globally ...

Use your vote.

Write to your congressman, senator, member of parliament, etc., letting them know how you feel.

Learn about other religions.

etc., etc.,

Locally:

Thank people, especially those who don't get many thanks.

Volunteer your time for doing something good.

Stand up for people who are being bullied (and encourage your kids to do the same).

And, as W C Fields said, 'Smile at a stranger, and wink at some homely girl.'

Yes.

I don't think ANY sane person doesn't want world peace. The problem is, try getting the wackoes in the Middle East to accept peace.

depends on how you mean to make it peaceful...I like the idea of a peaceful world...but if every human being on the planet is annihilated, that would be peaceful...perspective is definitely important...so until I agree with you, I would want to know a few more details!

The problem with desiring peace is that it does not work unless the other guy wants peace also.

"A pacifist can only prosper in a society that both tolerates and protects him."

"Peace through strength works."
