what do you do when someone applies for sick leave regularly and u have to do all the work,?

Talk to the boss and ask him why he is putting up with someone who is always absent. Tell him you are loosing respect for him and the company because they allow that kind of behavior. Let him know if they won't handle it then you would like a pay increase since you are doing someone else's work most of the time.

Its happend to me before where I was the only one doing all the work I took the work as it was more money but there comes a time where you have to draw the line and say no because youll get walked all over and and they expect you to do it all. I would say yes to a couple of shifts then say no to a couple too so there is a balance.

If they have a chronic illness there is nothing you can do about the time off but you could speak to them to see if there is anything you could do to help so that they don't need as much sick leave

I guess just be happy you're healthy.
Find a new job.
Speak to your boss.
The world is not equitable for sure. Hopefully you will be rewarded in a different way at a future time.

if that persons work can not be covered in my 8 hr. shift it will be left undone unless the company wants to pay overtime.

tell the boss the person should be fired....that u can't do all of the work by yourself...it is not fair you have to pick up the slack without any compensation...good luck....
