Believing in God does NOT mean to believe he exists; that is a given.
It means to have faith in his promises, that he will do all that he has promised to do. - Hebrews 11:1.
““Now, look! I am going today in the way of all the earth, and YOU well know with all YOUR hearts and with all YOUR souls that not one word out of all the good words that Jehovah YOUR God has spoken to YOU has failed. They have all come true for YOU. Not one word of them has failed.” (Joshua 23:14)

Everything. There is nothing else more important. Believing in God is 24/7. The purpose of life is to do God's will.

Believing without any substantial proof that there is an absolute authority who sits in judgement, good or bad maybe at his whim.
I am extremely spiritual, but i believe in doing the right things and listening to the divine voice inside me, not necessarily a nominative absolute
Its a question i've been playiing with too.

It means believing in my hope and refuge and help. Believing in God means believing in something that is bigger than me but loves me more than I know and knows just who I am.

Jesus is GOD the Son. The Father is Jehovah. The Holy Spirit is more than a force. The Bible is the WORD of GOD.

It means ,to me, trusting in and relying on, and having faith to accept as absolute the truth of Father God. It means having a Father who never lies to me, never ever. It means a savior who can secure my soul for heaven and a Spirit who guides me in the right way if I listen.

Well - to believe in God - I think that implies that you would choose to follow His commands. If you believe and don't , you're stupid. To believe in all of God means that you understand that if you don't follow Him, you end up in the Lake of Fire. The devil is stupid, He knows 100% for sure that God is real and in charge, yet he chose to not follow Him.

Depends on the level of a person's belief. Radical muslims and hard core conservative christian right in my mind are idiots. Contemporary people of the same religion that just want to believe there is life after death and that they should be good people, I'm completely fine with that. Organized religion to me is a fallacy, but I'll leave that for another discussion.

It means that the Holy Spirit lives and dwells within me.
I would never be able to believe on my own or by my own power.
