I have very wiry thick hair that tends to curl too. I use friz -ease serum / Worthington etc etc to make it curly rather than fluffly/ wild.

However, I wondered if anyone could recommend a style that makes best use of the curls but does not look bulky or thick.

Any web sites of suitable styles or advice?

Do a cute A-line with it stacked in the back. It would be easy to do your hair in the morning too with it like that also.
