Obviously these are people who do not read the bible closely enough. It seems that a person's eternal life (where there soul will spend eternity) should make them at least want to take the time to find out how to get there. People can be so lazy...this is your soul for crying out loud. Take the time and don't rely on someone else to answer it for you. I just don't get it.

I don't know? If they read the bible it clearly states that you need to be saved and have a relationship with Christ to get into heaven.
Good deeds wont get you up there. That is why god sent his son Jesus Christ to die for our sins so that we may have a real relationship with him. so that we can have eternal life in heaven. But here the devil comes and lies to people to make them think that they just need to be good people. Thats because the devil does not want us to go to heaven. There is a heavan and there is a hell. God gave us a free will and it's up to us to choose whether we believe or not. start by reading JOHN 3:16!

Also,,, Having a "good heart" as a prerequisite to Heaven is not exclusive to christianity, as it is found in "other books of non-christian scripture".

When he was able see the evil others had done through his eyes , he was able to make the bad guys look at their evil wrongdoings. He caused them to suffer in their own pain they inflicted on others. It's a direction you choose by the life you lead . Be positive. It's all what you make here.

People with "good hearts," who try their best to be good people, are more than likely following The Ten Commandments. They wouldn't be killing, stealing, committing adultery, coveting, etc. Why shouldn't they go to heaven?

If there is a god and if he is good and kind and all that and if there is a heaven -
Then I believe with all my heart and all my might that we would be judged on our actions and our character - not on blind faith. I believe that nothing else makes sense.
