NO! You don't have to wait to give your puppy a bath. I'm a dog groomer and a Rottweiler breeder. I've washed my puppies as early as 5 days old. They rolled around in each others poop and needed a bath. Just make sure to not get soap in the eyes and definitely dry the dog completely and the pup will be just fine!

I would wait till they are able to eat solid food the puppy should not be that dirty, also the most important aspect af bathing a puppy is to NOT GET WATER IN THE EARS. If you wash the head of the animal hold the ears down to protect water from getting in the ear canal.

I bathed mine right away when i got them. Use the proper bath shampoo, they have some at the pet stores for puppies. As long as they are away from there mother it is ok to bath them. I would say 6 weeks or older.

Hopefully that shampoo just isn't for use by means of humans. That you could bathing a dog from the time it can be per week ancient so long as the shampoo you utilize is tender and says it can be to be used on doggies.

YOu will be fine to bathe it, just make sure you use the correct shampoo...... most dog shampoos suggest your dog be over ten weeks, so if that is the case you are fine. I recently got a yorkie puppy, and the breeder told me that using baby shampoo or dawn dishwashing detergent would be best.

we got our puppy at 6 weeks and gave him a bath that night, (the lady had them all in a small pin laying in thier messes) and he was fine. Just dry them well and make sure he stays warm for a couple hours after.

I waited till my dog was 10 months, because they can get sick, so i would wait until 10 months at the earliest, but if your dog isnt that dirty, wait longer.
