I have a laptop that is connected wirelessly to a Belkin 4 port usb hub. I have a Maxtor 500 gb external storage device, printer, pocket pc, and hd camcorder already plugged into the hub. I want to connect my desktop into the hub to be able to use the external storage device between the laptop and the desktop. What do I need to do this?

Two possible ways

a) I am sure the Maxtor 500 GB has some s/w associated with it (that helps manage it, mount it, etc.). So, run that s/w on your desktop and it should be able to find the Maxtor NAS on your network.

b) If the Maxtor is already mounted on the pocket PC. Create a home Lan and you should be able to see the NAS via the pocket PC.

However, method a) should be the preferred way

No and confident! No to having to re-installation utility and confident to including an exterior force. in fact you're able to additionally make a USB exterior force. purchase here: exterior case with means furnish. purchase a perplexing force, whateve length you want which will extra healthful into the case. this could be a project that definitely could be finished with a screw force and socket wrenches (small sized at that). Now you have saved your self approximately $a hundred and fifty.00 for an exterior force via fact it is going to basically fee approximately $a hundred twenty five.00 to construct your individual. seem if my sister can do it from the get flow, then you quite don't have a subject. many times while a equipment slows down it rather is via the disc being too fragmented. attempt de-fragging the force. it is going to accomplish 2 issues, could your apps load quicker and unlock some area.
